When it comes to choosing the right property management software, the decision can seem like a tough one.
With so many options, how do you know which one to pick?
In this article, we'll be pitting two popular platforms against each other: Innago vs. TenantCloud. By the end, it should be clear that Innago is the superior option between the two.
Price
TenantCloud has four pricing plans:
With Innago, you have access to all of the features the platform has to offer for free. No, you didn't read that wrong. So, how can Innago be free? Instead of charging landlords to use the platform, Innago makes money from nominal fees paid by tenants for specific services.
For instance, tenants are charged an additional $2 fee when they make a rent payment using ACH and an additional 2.75% when using a credit or debit card. Landlords can take on these charges if they want to. For tenant screening reports, applicants are charged a $30 fee for a credit and criminal report or a $35 fee to add an eviction report. Lastly, tenants can purchase renters insurance policies for varying prices directly from the platform.
Simplicity
Innago is known as an easy-to-use software with an intuitive and clean interface. On Capterra, it received 4.8 out of 5 stars for ease of use.
TenantCloud doesn't quite match Innago's level of simplicity. It only received a 3.9 star rating on Capterra for ease of use, with many reviews discussing some confusion with the platform that requires customer support.
Customer Support
When it comes to customer support, it's nice to use a platform with abundant resources readily at your disposal.
Innago received a 4.9 out of 5 stars for customer service. With Innago, you have an assigned representative for email and phone support. You can also almost always reach someone after hours on the general support line. If for some reason you can't get ahold of someone immediately, they always return calls or emails after a few hours.
TenantCloud, on the other hand, only received a 3.9 out of 5 for customer service. TenantCloud only offers phone support Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.
Both platforms have video tutorials, informative articles, and other resources to help with any questions or difficulties you might have. With that said, TenantCloud just can't match the quality of Innago's individualized support.
Features
Innago and TenantCloud both offer many of the same core features: listing syndication, online rent collection, autopay, tenant screening, applications, maintenance management, and more. It's important to remember that several of TenantCloud's key features aren't available on the free version, including electronic signatures, the lease-builder tool, and tax reports.
Again, the reviews lean heavily toward Innago. On Capterra, Innago scored a 4.8 for its features compared to TenantCloud's 3.9. On G2, Innago received better ratings for every single feature that was compared to TenantCloud.
Conclusion
All things considered, TenantCloud is on the affordable side when compared to many other platforms out there, even offering a free option.
With that being said, it can't compete with Innago, which is totally free and provides higher-quality features, a more user-friendly interface, and better customer support.
On Capterra, 97.3% of Innago reviewers said they were likely to recommend the platform, compared to 61.7% of reviewers for TenantCloud. This metric alone should tell you everything you need to know about the two platforms and help make your decision an easy one.Get a daily dose of California Telegraph news through our daily email, its complimentary and keeps you fully up to date with world and business news as well.
