SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA / ACCESSWIRE / August 4, 2022 / International outsourcing company, Bruntwork, has announced a partnership with mental health expert, Melli O'Brien.
The team-up will provide staff with special training devoted to mindfulness to help motivate sales staff and provide a healthier work environment.
Courses will be run by Melli O'Brien, an educator, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Mindfulness.com. Ms. O'Brien has more than ten years of experience teaching mindfulness and mental resilience. Through her training retreats and courses, she has helped motivate sales staff and provide a healthier work environment.
Recently, businesses have paid a lot of attention to mindfulness training because many believe it can help their employees adopt a more positive outlook on life. Companies like Bruntwork are adopting mindfulness training to improve employee well-being and engagement-and, as a result, productivity.
Mindfulness training involves teaching or learning various mindfulness techniques. The ability to be present and aware is frequently used to combat the propensity to think back on the past or worry about the future.
When applied correctly and consistently, it can reduce workplace stress and give employees the skills they need to succeed in taking on responsibilities and effectively communicating with their managers or coworkers.
'Our findings indicate that cultivating mindfulness is an effective and efficient technique for improving cognitive function because it allows one to feel fully present in the task at hand,' O'Brien says. 'Effective face-to-face or virtual communication is essential for almost anyone to succeed at work, but leaders in particular. Studies show that mindful leaders and their staff have a positive relationship because they communicate in a way that demonstrates servant leadership traits like 'humility, standing back, and authenticity.'
'Mindfulness can act as a safeguard against personal clashes at the workplace. Training can help ensure that the task, rather than the person, remains the focus of reactions. It can also limit the intensity of one's opposition and negative emotions, thereby limiting escalation,' she adds.
